Whether you're an experienced quilter or just beginning your patchwork journey, you'll receive a warm welcome from our friendly and supportive Patchwork & Quilting Group. Our members come together to work on their own projects, exchange ideas, share techniques and inspire one another, creating a relaxed environment where everyone can learn, develop new skills and enjoy their hobby at their own pace.
The group is as much about friendship as it is about sewing. Alongside our regular sessions, we organise visits to quilting shows, exhibitions and other events that celebrate our shared passion, often rounding off the day with lunch and good company.
If you're looking to meet like-minded people, develop your patchwork and quilting skills, or simply enjoy an afternoon of creativity in a welcoming atmosphere, we'd love to hear from you. Contact our Group Coordinator, Sue Baker, to find out more or arrange a visit.
August 2026
Following on from my report last month this is a photograph of some of the latest projects stitched by members of the Patchwork and Quilting 1 group. The standard of work is amazing - several of our members have only been doing patchwork and quilting for less than a couple of years. I hope to showcase some of these pieces of work at the Meet the Groups in January next year.
