The Melton U3A Drama Group

In the Drama Group we work on developing our improvisational and performance skills. We aim to develop and work on scenes, sketches and scripted dramas to perfect them for performance in community settings such as care homes and support groups and to the U3A members.

We meet on the 2^nd and 4^th Tues of each month from 2 – 4pm at Mary’s Place.

Although we work hard on developing our performance skills, the group have great fun and spend much of their time laughing!

The Drama Group was first formed by Sue Wright in 2014 and ran until 2020 when it was disbanded due to lockdown and the pandemic. The group resumed in Nov 2024 and we have at present 12 members, four of whom were original members. About half of the present group have experience in performing, while the other half have minimal or no previous experience of drama and performance.
