The Digital Friends Team are pleased to announce that we are planning to deliver a range of digital support sessions for members, hopefully every month.

These sessions will be a mixture of practical workshops and drop-in support sessions. Digital Friends is not a regular group, so sessions will be held on different days and at different times, depending on availability.

Some of you kindly completed our Digital Friends Questionnaire, and we have used your feedback to help shape our first session. However, you don’t need to have completed the questionnaire to attend – the sessions are open to everyone who would like some help, advice or guidance with IT and digital technology.

Our First Session

Our first two sessions will be delivered by AbilityNet, with Darren Fox leading the first session. Darren has visited us previously and received excellent feedback from members.

The venue has excellent parking and wheelchair access.

What will be covered?

AbilityNet will provide an introduction to:

Intro to Tech
Online Safety
Online Entertainment
Introduction to AI

The session is designed to be friendly, informative and accessible, whether you are confident with technology or simply want to understand it a little better.

Cost: The cost is £3 per person, payable in cash on the day. This includes refreshments.
