Retro

The Retro Group meets on the 1^st and 3^rd Friday of each month at 2.00pm to use Tesco’s training room.    We meet and sign in beside the Service Desk (near the toilets) at 1.55pm.

The group is mainly a discussion group where members share their early experiences and life skills providing an entertaining and nostalgic trip down the memory lane of childhood, adolescence and early adulthood during our lifetimes.

We normally adopt a theme for the next meeting so that members can, if they wish, bring in examples, magazines, photo’s etc to share.

The themes might be regarding Entertainment, Transport, Diet, Community life, Jobs and Careers, Health & Safety, Make Do and Mend etc

It’s really a great opportunity for a good old natter over cups of tea and prompts us all to recall and share things we thought we had forgotten about, be it Holidays, Communications, School work, Hardships, Food etc. We never had it so good!! Life was hard but so much simpler.
