Stephen is the Secretary of the GCR membership organisation, Friends of the Great Central Mail Line, and volunteer on the railway in various roles. The Reunification presentation gives some background about the original railway and how it came into being, also the development of the two halves of the preserved GCR, between Loughborough and Leicester North, and Loughborough and Riddington.

These heritage railways are 18 miles long in total, being only separated by a 500m gap.
