The recorder ensemble plays in four-part harmony for descant, treble, tenor and bass recorders.  We currently have over 25 members with five or more players on each size of instrument.  Our playlist covers music from the renaissance and baroque periods to the present day.  We aim for a good standard of playing while enjoying creating music together. We are a friendly group, very willing to have a laugh and support each other.  We always stop for drinks and a chat at half time.

The group is not suitable for complete beginners but we can offer some support and advice for those wishing to start playing again after a long gap or with some prior experience of music, perhaps on a different instrument.  Treble, tenor or bass players are welcome, but we currently have no spaces for descant players. although we can help you change to a larger recorder if you are keen to join the group.
