- The Loughborough Daytime Orchestra is looking for new members to join its ranks. If you are free on a Tuesday morning, why not join this friendly, welcoming community orchestra? We rehearse at Emmanuel Church, Forest Road from 10:00 – 12:00 during term time. Our repertoire is wide-ranging with something for everyone, from classics to film music! There are no auditions, and new members are welcome to attend a rehearsal for free to see if the orchestra is the right fit. Just let Anne at Music for Everyone know that you are planning on coming along so that we can make sure we have enough music ( anne@music-for-everyone.org ). - Do you have a ukulele, unloved and unstrummed in a cupboard? Melstrum is giving you the chance to take out that neglected instrument and play and sing along with them at an Open Evening on 17th September at Burton Lazars Village Hall at 7.30. All welcome. Even if you only know one or two chords, playing with others gives you confidence. The group is friendly, and the aim is to have fun. It is hoping to recruit some new members.
